CNC Programmer/Operator

1. Job Summary

The CNC Machine Programmer cum Operator will be responsible for creating CNC programs, setting up machines, and operating CNC machinery to produce high-precision components as per drawings and quality standards. The role requires strong technical skills, machine handling expertise, and the ability to troubleshoot issues during machining.

2. Key Responsibilities

Programming & Setup

• Interpret engineering drawings, 3D models, and specifications to prepare programs.

• Set up CNC machines (Turning, Milling, VMC, HMC, etc.) with required tools, fixtures, and work holding devices.

• Optimize machining parameters for cycle time reduction and tool life improvement.

• Perform trial runs and validate programs before mass production.

Machine Operation

• Operate CNC Machines independently during production.

• Monitor machine performance and ensure parts meet dimensional accuracy.

• Adjust offsets, tool wear, and machine parameters when required.

• Maintain production logs and documentation.

Quality & Inspection

• Inspect finished components using measuring instruments—Vernier, Micrometer, Height Gauge, Bore Gauge, CMM (if applicable).

• Ensure all parts meet tolerance levels and customer specifications.

• Report deviations and implement corrective actions.

Maintenance & Safety

• Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of CNC machines.

• Identify and report mechanical or technical issues in advance.

• Follow all safety guidelines, PPE, and 5S practices at the shop floor.

3. Skills & Competencies

• Strong knowledge of CNC programming (G-codes, M-codes).

• Experience in operating CNC Turning / Milling / VMC / HMC machines.

• Ability to read and understand technical drawings & GD&T symbols.

• Hands-on experience with measuring instruments.

• Problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

• Ability to work independently and in shifts.

4. Educational Qualification

• ITI / Diploma in Mechanical / Tool & Die / Production Engineering.

• Additional CNC Programming certification preferred.

5. Experience

• 0–5 years of experience in CNC programming and machine operation in a manufacturing industry.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, Fresher

Pay: ₹17,000.00 - ₹21,000.00 per month
