Reporting to the Shift in charge, the multi axis Operator, you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining machines to produce precision parts and components according to drawing and required specifications.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Interpret engineering drawings and manufacturing documents to determine machining operations and setup requirements
Set up 5 axis machines by installing and aligning workpieces, tooling, and cutting tools
Operate CNC machines to perform Milling, grooving and 3D profile operations on various materials
Adjust machine controls (e.g., speed, feed rate, depth of cut) to achieve desired machining outcomes and maintain quality standards
Inspect machined parts for dimensional accuracy, surface finish, and adherence to tolerance requirements using precision measuring instruments (callipers, micrometres)
Conduct routine maintenance tasks on CNC machines, including cleaning, lubrication, and tooling replacement
