CNC Machinist/Programmer

You will be responsible for setting up and programming CNC turning machines based on complex e drawings and blueprints. Your key responsibilities will include: - Interpreting complex e drawings and blueprints to determine machining parameters and tool selection. - Developing and editing CNC programs using CAD/CAM software to define cutting paths, speeds, feeds, and tool changes. - Setting up CNC turning machines including chucking, workholding, and tooling according to specifications. - Calibrating and testing CNC programs to ensure accuracy and optimal machining efficiency. During production operations, you will need to: - Monitor machining processes during production runs, adjusting parameters as needed to maintain quality. - Detect and troubleshoot any machine malfunctions or errors, taking corrective action as necessary. - Perform in-process quality checks using precision measuring tools to ensure parts conform to tolerances. In terms of quality control, you will be required to: - Conduct thorough final inspections of finished parts to verify dimensions, surface finish, and overall quality. - Identify and document quality issues, initiating corrective actions to prevent recurrence. - Maintain detailed documentation of machining parameters and production records. Additionally, you will need to perform routine maintenance tasks on CNC turning machines, including cleaning, lubrication, and tool changes. Adherence to all safety protocols and procedures while operating CNC machinery is crucial. Qualifications required for this role include: - Diploma/BE in Mechanical Engineering. - Extensive knowledge of CNC turning principles, including cutting tool selection, machining speeds, and feed rates. - Familiarity with various CNC controls and programming languages (e.g., G-code, M-code). - Proficiency in CAD/CAM software for designing and generating CNC programs.
