Position Overview

Machining Engineer

Key Responsibilities

Shop Floor & Production Management

• Plan and

  allocate daily work

  to operators based on production schedules and priorities.
• Supervise CNC machining operations on

  Milling and Lathe machines

  to ensure productivity, quality, and safety.
• Monitor machining parameters and make adjustments to improve cycle times and accuracy.
  
• Coordinate with planning, quality, and assembly teams for smooth workflow and timely delivery.
  
• Ensure

  machine utilization, tool management, and preventive maintenance

  activities are properly followed.

Programming & Technical Support

• Prepare and optimize

  CNC programs

  for Milling and Turning centers using relevant software (e.g., Fanuc, Siemens, or similar controls).
• Validate new programs, conduct trials, and fine-tune tool paths and cutting parameters.
  
• Troubleshoot machining issues and guide operators in setup, tooling, and program understanding.
  
• Work on

  fixture design improvements

  to enhance accuracy and reduce cycle time.

Quality & Process Improvement

• Ensure all components are machined as per

  drawings and quality standards

  .
• Identify and implement

  process improvements, tool optimization, and waste reduction

  initiatives.
• Support

  new product development (NPD)

  activities with machining input and feasibility studies.

Documentation & Reporting

• Maintain records of daily production, downtime, tool usage, and program revisions.
  
• Support ISO / internal audits and ensure adherence to quality management systems.
  
• Prepare reports on machine performance, tool life, and efficiency metrics.
  

Qualifications & Experience

• Diploma / B.E. in Mechanical or Production Engineering

  .

• 5–10 years of experience

  in CNC Machine Shop operations, preferably in

  Electrical Equipment / Heavy Engineering / Component Manufacturing Industry

  .
• Hands-on experience in

  CNC Milling and CNC Lathe programming

  (Fanuc / Siemens / Mitsubishi controls).
• Strong knowledge of

  G & M codes, cutting tools, fixtures, and machining parameters

  .
• Familiar with

  CAD/CAM software

  for program generation and optimization.
• Good communication, team management, and problem-solving skills.
