Cluster Finance Controller - Asia

You have been mandated to hire a Cluster Finance Controller - Asia for a leading global agricultural conglomerate with operations in over 40 countries. The company has a vertically integrated supply chain and deals with a diverse portfolio of commodities including pulses, oilseeds, cashews, grains, fertilizers, and agro-inputs. The operations are mainly in Africa, Asia, and Latin America, with strategic investments in value-added processing, infrastructure, and agri-finance. As the Cluster Finance Controller - Asia, your role involves leading the financial management of the assigned business vertical in Asia, covering India, Bangladesh, and Singapore. You will manage a team of Finance professionals and be responsible for financial planning & budgeting, management reporting & analysis, funding, cost & profitability management, and internal controls. Additionally, you will act as the finance business partner for regional teams in Asia, providing insights and financial guidance for strategic initiatives and participating in regional projects. Key Responsibilities: Financial Planning & Budgeting: - Lead the annual budgeting and periodic forecasting processes - Analyze budget variances and implement corrective actions - Provide financial insights to support business forecasts and growth Financial Reporting & Analysis: - Oversee the preparation of financial statements - Provide timely financial analysis to support decision-making - Manage regional consolidation and reporting Treasury Management: - Collaborate with Group and Vertical teams on banking relationships and financing - Ensure compliance with Treasury policies and manage currency risks Financial Operations & Control: - Ensure financial controls are in place - Oversee audits to assess financial health and compliance - Identify and mitigate financial and operational risks Function & Team Leadership: - Manage and mentor finance team members - Collaborate with HR to develop a high-performance culture - Plan upskilling opportunities for the team Job Requirement: - Chartered Accountant with at least 18 years of experience in a similar Finance leadership role - Strong experience in finance business partnering in a manufacturing setup - Demonstrated track record in Treasury management for India and International commerce - Experience with ERPs like SAP / Hyperion and MS Excel for financial analysis - Leadership skills to manage large-sized teams - Excellent analytical, communication, and management presentation skills,
