Cloud Systems Engineer II

You will be working at Cyderes as a Cloud Systems Engineer II where you will be responsible for designing, implementing, documenting, and managing cloud-based solutions. Your role will involve integrating and troubleshooting cloud-based applications, collaborating with the internal security team, and ensuring security and compliance requirements are met. To excel in this position, you should be proactive, challenge the status quo, and provide innovative solutions to enhance the effectiveness of Cyderes applications. **Key Responsibilities:** - Collaborate on developing and implementing policies for using cloud services, including documentation and training related to policies and procedures. - Define and document best practices and strategies for application deployment and infrastructure maintenance. - Establish and manage a secure cloud environment. - Configure cloud infrastructure components, such as networking, security services, and DNS for internal and external-facing applications. - Own technical duties associated with enterprise cloud computing. - Ensure appropriate availability of services by tracking and reporting key metrics. - Implement and manage vulnerability scanning and patching processes to ensure a secure cloud environment. - Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) to automate and scale cloud infrastructure efficiently using tools like Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation. - Troubleshoot cloud-based and IT-related issues, conduct root cause analyses, identify solutions, and implement them. - Mentor and coach team members as a subject matter expert. - Collaborate with business partners, third-party vendors, and other IT personnel on company-wide IT initiatives. - Provide Tier 2 helpdesk support and proactively monitor and address helpdesk tickets. - Demonstrate strong attention to detail and time management skills to ensure tasks are completed accurately and within deadlines. **Qualifications Required:** - Experience with Okta and Aquera. - Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Information Technology (IT). - Cloud provider certifications (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud). - Strong knowledge of security technologies and architecture, including encryption, cloud network security design, security group configuration, intrusion detection, data loss prevention, and application security. - Technical knowledge of leading SaaS applications. - Passion for automation and workflow development. - Ability to take initiative, work independently, and be resourceful. - Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. - Excellent verbal and written communication skills to convey complex information in simple language.
