Job Requirements We are seeking an experienced Cloud Architect to lead the design, implementation, and management of our organization’s cloud computing architecture. This role involves strategizing cloud adoption, creating scalable and secure architecture, and ensuring optimal performance and compliance with industry standards. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in public cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP and will work closely with cross-functional teams to drive cloud innovation and excellence. Key Roles and Responsibilities Cloud Architecture Design Assess current infrastructure, applications, and business needs to develop optimal cloud strategies. Design scalable, reliable, and resilient cloud architectures. Select appropriate services across AWS, Azure, GCP based on organizational goals. Integrate security at all architectural layers including IAM, encryption, and compliance controls. Cloud Migration Develop and execute comprehensive cloud migration strategies. Analyze system dependencies and prepare readiness assessments. Coordinate data transfer, re-platforming, and testing efforts. Optimize cloud workloads leveraging cloud-native features. Security and Compliance Implement robust cloud security controls (MFA, IDS/IPS, encryption). Ensure compliance with regulations such as GDPR, HIPAA, PCI DSS, and ISO 27001. Monitor for threats and conduct regular cloud security assessments. Systems Integration Design and implement integration between cloud services and on-premises systems. Enable seamless data and identity integration across hybrid environments. Resolve interoperability challenges in collaboration with IT and application teams. Performance Monitoring and Optimization Establish monitoring frameworks and observability tools. Analyze performance metrics and optimize infrastructure for cost and efficiency. Plan for future growth and ensure systems scale without performance degradation. Collaboration and Communication Engage stakeholders to align cloud architecture with business strategies. Translate technical requirements into understandable business terms. Foster a collaborative, feedback-oriented cloud engineering culture. Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity Design and validate disaster recovery and business continuity plans. Implement automated backup and recovery solutions. Conduct routine DR/BC simulations to ensure readiness and regulatory compliance. Work Experience Deep knowledge of cloud service models (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS) and deployment models (public, private, hybrid). Hands-on 8+ experience with at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Azure, GCP). Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code tools: Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, ARM templates. Strong networking knowledge: VPCs, load balancers, VPNs, CDNs, and cloud firewalls. Familiarity with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes). Scripting proficiency (Python, Bash, PowerShell) and automation experience using CI/CD pipelines. Understanding of IAM, encryption, secure architecture patterns, and compliance frameworks. Experience with SIEM tools and automated threat detection solutions. Proven ability to integrate cloud solutions with on-premises systems. Knowledge of APIs, ETL pipelines, messaging systems, and identity federation. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills. Excellent verbal and written communication with both technical and non-technical audiences. Leadership and mentoring capabilities in cross-functional, agile teams. Qualifications Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. Professional certifications such as: AWS Certified Solutions Architect (Associate/Professional) Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert Google Professional Cloud Architect 8+ Experience in DevOps, FinOps, or cloud governance is a plus.
