Cloud Development Engineer

As a member of the Pega Cloud team at Pegasystems, you will play a crucial role in developing strategic applications for sales, marketing, service, and operations for our Global 500 clients, focusing on delivering services essential for Pega as a Service success. You will collaborate with talented engineers and product owners across the globe to build a highly scalable Software as a Service (SaaS) offering. In your role at Pega, your responsibilities will include: - 80% Software Engineering: - Building highly available, scalable, and performant applications using Pega Platform. - Working as part of a collaborative agile team and taking ownership of small tasks. - Developing understandable, well-documented code that meets coding and design standards. - 10% Application Design: - Designing and executing basic unit, integration, and API tests. - Understanding product features design and assisting senior colleagues and Product Owners in documenting them. - 10% Application DevOps: - Assisting the operations team with basic operations along the entire service lifecycle. - Automating basic operations activities leveraging DevOps tools and CI/CD pipelines. As a passionate developer with experience in building applications in Pega Platform, you should have: - 23 years of software development experience, preferably in a product development company. - A Bachelors/Masters degree in computer science or a related field. - Design & Development experience of highly scalable and performant features using Pega Platform. - Minimum CSSA certification and strong knowledge in User Interface & Case Management, Pega security features, Integrations, Constellation, React, Pega Units, Performance tools, Reporting, Agents, and Queue Processors. - Knowledge of Agile/Scrum development methodology and experience with Core Java and engineering tools (Eclipse, Git, Gradle).
