Cloud Architect

As a Cloud Architect at the company in Malaysia, you will play a crucial role in leading and managing the design and migration of enterprise systems and applications to the cloud. Responsibilities: - Lead and drive the end-to-end cloud migration strategy, including developing and executing detailed plans for infrastructure, data, and application migration. - Assess existing IT infrastructure and provide recommendations for cloud solutions and migration strategies. - Collaborate with various business and IT stakeholders to ensure alignment with organizational goals. - Design and implement scalable, highly available, and secure cloud architectures (AWS, Azure, GCP) for complex environments. - Architect and oversee the migration of workloads to public or hybrid cloud environments. - Ensure proper cloud security configurations and adherence to best practices and compliance standards (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA). - Lead migration projects and teams, ensuring effective management of all stages of the migration process. - Perform cost optimization strategies, troubleshoot and resolve issues during migration and post-migration phases. - Develop cloud governance policies and frameworks for secure and efficient operation of cloud resources. - Drive continuous improvement of cloud practices, identify and implement best practices for cloud architecture and operations. - Evaluate and manage cloud tools, services, and technologies, staying up-to-date with the latest industry trends. - Mentor and provide guidance to junior team members, collaborate with DevOps, engineering, and IT operations teams. - Manage relationships with cloud providers and third-party vendors. Qualifications Required: - Proven experience as a Cloud Architect with at least 10 years of experience in designing and migrating enterprise-level systems to the cloud. - Strong hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform. - In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience with cloud migration strategies, tools, and frameworks. - Experience with hybrid cloud and multi-cloud environments. - Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure, networking, security, databases, and compute services. - Familiarity with automation tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar. - Knowledge of containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes). - Expertise in designing cloud-native applications, microservices architectures, and serverless architectures. - Cloud certifications preferred. - Excellent communication and collaboration skills. - Strong problem-solving abilities with a strategic mindset. - Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, constantly evolving environment. - Leadership and mentoring experience.
