Role Overview: You will be reporting into the Cloud and Productivity Engineering Organisation, where you will own and deliver the London Stock Exchange Group's modern application solutions using containerization. This role emphasizes innovation and will continuously evolve to meet business changes, security requirements, and digital strategy. As a successful leader in this role, you will define and curate the Container strategy, standards, processes, methodologies, and architecture to drive business innovation, simplify the technology landscape, and enhance operational excellence. Collaboration with various teams such as Security, Engineering, and Identity will be essential to provide solutions that best fit project requirements. Key Responsibilities: - Drive the acceleration, adoption, and migration of applications to the public cloud, focusing on moving the majority of the overall combined LSEG/Refinitiv estate to the cloud using containerization. - Analyze, design, and implement Container infrastructure solutions for projects and business needs following LSEG standards and procedures. - Design and implement infrastructure processes like service requests and capacity management for container platforms and environmental components. - Monitor resource utilization rates, identify potential bottlenecks, efficiency improvements, and implement necessary changes. - Support knowledge management by creating, maintaining, and enhancing documentation such as solution design documents, knowledge articles, and Wikis. Also, manage the lifecycle of all Container platforms and evaluate tools and applications for managing/monitoring Container infrastructure. - Develop long-term technical design, architecture, and implementation of LSEG services. Create long-term roadmaps for container platforms and peripherals. - Collaborate with the Group CISO and broader IT security teams to enhance security controls. - Define container strategy with the container product team, including standards, blueprints, processes, and patterns. - Collaborate across the Engineering community to establish consistent architecture across all Digital platforms to meet LSEG's future technology needs. - Engage with cloud platform "customers" and communicate with senior stakeholders up to C Level. - Perform Agile "Product Owner" tasks for the container product. - Ensure continuous feedback and learning are incorporated as early and frequently as possible. Qualifications Required: - Proven technical background in related infrastructure technologies. - Experience in SDLC, Continuous Integration & Delivery, Application Security, Quality Assurance. - Familiarity with platforms like Istio, Serverless, Kubernetes. - Proficiency in Agile, Lean, Product Development processes. - Exposure to DevSecOps, Continuous Change culture. - Software engineering skills with exposure to high performance computing, event-driven systems, big data analytics, machine learning. - Proficiency in multiple programming languages (C, C++, C#, Java, Rust, Go, Python). - Experience in working in a senior technology role within a public cloud environment, preferably with AWS or Azure, in the container space. - Ability to drive technological and cultural change for rapid technology adoption. - Strong communication, planning, and leadership skills. - Ability to excel in a fast-paced environment. - Strong influencing and negotiation skills. - Experience in team building, coaching, and motivating global teams. - Awareness of modern programming languages and cloud technologies. - Proficiency in PaaS/SaaS/IaaS and best practices in public cloud. - Familiarity with operating systems, network infrastructures, RDBMS, and other related areas. - Exposure to infrastructure-as-code software and automated testing tools. - Knowledge of continuous integration and continuous deployment pipelines.
