Role & responsibilities Oversee and manage on-site construction activities to ensure compliance with project plans, specifications, and timelines. Conduct site inspections to monitor progress, quality, and adherence to safety standards. Coordinate with project managers, architects, and contractors to resolve design and construction issues. Supervise and guide laborers, subcontractors, and junior engineers on daily tasks. Prepare and review site reports, progress updates, and material requisitions. Ensure proper implementation of structural, concrete, and foundation works as per drawings. Monitor resource allocation, including materials, equipment, and manpower, to optimize efficiency. Enforce safety protocols and ensure compliance with local regulations and standards. Troubleshoot on-site challenges and provide practical solutions promptly. Maintain accurate documentation of site activities, changes, and incidents. Preferred candidate profile Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering or related field from a recognized institution. 2-7 years of hands-on experience in civil construction site management. Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings and blueprints. Strong knowledge of construction materials, methods, and safety regulations. Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills. Effective communication and leadership abilities to manage teams. Familiarity with project management tools (e.g., AutoCAD, MS Project). Ability to work under pressure and meet tight project deadlines. Physically fit to handle on-site demands and frequent site visits. Valid certification or license in civil engineering (if applicable).
