Civil Engineer - Transmission Line

Role & Responsibilities:

• Preparation of Schedule of Rates, Assessment of Project Feasibility upon receipt of scope of works, BOQ, Schedule, Funding etc, Preparation of Detailed Project Report (DPR), Preparation of NIT cost estimate based on BOQ given by indenting Department i.e. TL/SSTN/LD&C/CIVIL/ DMS, Vetting cost for R&M works at site, AM works, etc.
• Access routes, layouts, drainage and grading plans, preliminary and detailed designs, and specifications for high voltage transmission lines
• Plan and profile sheets, staking sheets, bills of materials, and stringing charts
• Pole loading drawings, framing drawings, foundation drawing, and construction drawings
• Design of platforms, retaining walls, Substation A-Frame foundations, etc.
• Review and provide quality assurance for project engineering deliverables developed internally or by third parties
• Conduct site inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations
• Attend project site visits/walk down
• Interface regularly with the client at their offices or in the field

Preferred candidate profile

• Bachelors degree in civil. 
• 3 plus years of transmission line experience.
• Minimum of 3 years of civil engineering.
• Good organizational and planning skills. Ability to work in team environment.
• Ability to prioritize work, manage tasks for multiple projects under budget, and time constraints.
• High level of personal initiative and the ability to interact with personnel, clients, and contractors.
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills and must be proficient on the computer.
