Role Overview:

You will play a crucial role in overseeing the civil and structural engineering aspects of our projects and that the projects are safe, efficient, and compliant with regulatory requirements. You shall identify risks, optimize design solutions, and collaborate with a wide range of professionals minimizing the potential for costly errors during construction, enhance the overall safety of the project, and ensures long-term functionality and sustainability.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure that all civil and structural designs and activities comply with relevant industry codes, standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Conduct a thorough review of the design to identify any potential safety hazards, such as structural failures, flood risks, or vulnerabilities to seismic activity.
• Verify the assumptions made during the design phase and also evaluate the engineering approach used in the design.
• Review the selection of materials, Construction Methodology and ensure that the design is within budget and provides the best value
• Collaborate with senior management and engage with clients to understand their project requirements and align engineering strategies with client goals.
• Engage with clients to understand project requirements, provide technical expertise, and address client concerns.
• Provide constructive feedback to improve the design in terms of safety, cost-effectiveness, and overall performance.
• If the review uncovers issues with the design's functionality, safety, or regulatory compliance, the incumbent will recommend modifications or redesigns. This may involve proposing alternative construction methods, materials, or layout configurations.
• Ensure that all reviewed designs are signed off and approved by the relevant authorities or stakeholders before moving to the next phase of the project
• Support the proposal team in document reviews and Technical Query (TQ) issuance to ensure effective proposal preparation.
• Familiarity with software like STAAD Pro, AVEVA E3D, etc.
