Chip Level Laptop Technician

A chip-level laptop hardware engineer focuses on diagnosing and repairing issues within a laptop's hardware at the component level, often involving intricate work on the motherboard and other integrated circuits. They are essentially technicians who troubleshoot and repair faults at the chip level.

Key Responsibilities:

• Troubleshooting and Repair: Diagnosing and repairing hardware faults in laptops, primarily focusing on the motherboard and its components.
• Component-Level Repair:Soldering and desoldering components like BGA (Ball Grid Array) chips, RAM, and other integrated circuits on the motherboard.
• Diagnostic Tools:Utilizing diagnostic software and hardware tools to identify and pinpoint hardware malfunctions.
• Documentation and Support:Documenting service issues, potentially escalating complex problems, and providing technical support to other team members or clients.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Technical Expertise: A strong understanding of laptop hardware, including motherboards, chipsets, RAM, and other components.
• Troubleshooting Skills: Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot hardware issues effectively.
• Soldering and Desoldering: Proficiency in soldering and desoldering surface-mount components.
• Communication Skills: Ability to explain technical issues clearly and effectively.
• Experience: Typically requires 2-3 years of hands-on experience with laptop chip-level repair.

Education:

• Degree: A diploma or degree in a related field (e.g., Electronics, Computer Engineering, IT) is often preferred.
• Specialized Training: Additional certifications in laptop repair or chip-level repair may be beneficial.

Experience:

• Minimum 1 year hands-on experience as Chip-level Laptop Technician in a company.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
