Position Overview (Center for Economy and Trade): Center for Climate Change & Energy Transition at CRF aims to be a hub of research and expertise, dedicated to advancing sustainable energy solutions, environmental stewardship, and climate resilience. The Center of Climate Change & Energy Transition is accepting applications for a Fellow. The Fellow will be expected to provide evidence-based insights to inform global climate policies. Key Responsibilities: • Conduct in-depth research and data analysis for the focus areas. • Lead and contribute to the creation of analytical research reports, policy papers, discussion papers and articles of the highest quality and relevance. • Collect and analyze data from various sources to support research initiatives. • Oversee projects and discussions, including planning, budget management, and coordination responsibilities. • Establish a network of industry participants, collaborate with partners and other influential stakeholders to enhance CRF's events and communication efforts. • Searching for and reviewing published literature on a research topic • Supervising undergraduate project interns or other personnel on research-related tasks • Assisting with manuscript or grant development • Preparing reports or presentations • Organise events, seminars, and workshops. • Moderate academic discussions and policy dialogues. Qualifications and Skills: • Master’s degree in a relevant field including engineering (electrical/mechanical/power systems/ chemical/energy) or energy economics or energy and climate etc. • PhD in given domain is an add on advantage. • 13+ years of work experience. • Strong research and analytical skills. • Desirable: Econometric Models, Energy and/or Economic Model • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. • Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g. SPSS, R, Python, NVivo, etc). and research software is preferred. • Ability to work/lead as part of a team as well as on own initiative. • Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple research projects simultaneously • Strong relationship skills and team ethics. • Excellent written and verbal (interpersonal and public speaking) communication skills. • Authored at least 2 scholarly research publications and/or multiple op-eds during the last five years. • Ability to adapt to new environment and deliver under tight deadlines in a professional environment. • Ability to effectively work in a team while being able to independently drive research with minimum assistance when time demands. • Willingness to travel for research and stakeholder engagement.

The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in academic writing, research standards, and subject-specific knowledge. The role involves editing and proofreading scholarly manuscripts to ensure clarity, coherence, grammatical accuracy, and adherence to academic and publication standards. Key Responsibilities: Review and edit academic documents, including research papers, theses, dissertations, journal articles, and grant proposals. Ensure correctness of grammar, punctuation, and syntax while maintaining the author's original meaning and tone. Verify clarity, logical flow, and coherence in arguments and presentation. Adhere to specific style guides (APA, MLA, Chicago, IEEE, etc.) as required by the manuscript. Provide constructive feedback to authors to improve the overall quality of the work. Maintain strict confidentiality and ethical standards concerning client materials. Work closely with researchers, authors, and the editorial team to meet deadlines and project requirements. Keep up-to-date with academic publishing standards and trends. Requirements: Bachelor's or Master's degree in English, Communications, Journalism, or a specific academic discipline (e.g., Life Sciences, Engineering, Social Sciences, etc.). Proven experience in academic editing or scholarly publishing. Excellent command of the English language and familiarity with academic writing conventions. Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently. Familiarity with plagiarism standards and academic integrity policies. Proficiency in MS Word and editing tools (e.g., Track Changes, Grammarly, EndNote). Preferred Qualifications: PhD or advanced degree in a relevant academic field. Experience working with ESL (English as a Second Language) authors. Knowledge of publication processes in peer-reviewed journals. Membership in professional editing organizations (e.g., EFA, BELS).
