Role Overview:

As the Chief Investment Officer, you will play a pivotal role in leading our investment portfolios, both listed and unlisted, under the guidance of the Investment Committee (IC) and Director. You will be responsible for the continual review of investments, managing the Family Group's investment portfolio, and actively engaging with industry stakeholders to identify and capitalize on market opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Actively lead the Listed and Unlisted Investment Portfolio, encompassing equity and private credit, under the guidance of the IC & Director.
2. Conduct continual reviews of investments and provide periodic updates to the IC.
3. Manage the investment portfolio of the Family Group, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and risk tolerance.
4. Engage with bankers, consultants, advisors, and other relevant stakeholders to monitor market opportunities.
5. Prepare due diligence notes, valuation models (DCF, public comps, precedent transaction comps), and credit appraisal notes for private credit transactions.
6. Develop a deep understanding of macro-level sectoral trends to make informed investment decisions.
7. Conduct comprehensive analysis of investment opportunities through research of industry, sector, business, financials, and other relevant factors.
8. Present investment opportunities to the investment committee for effective decision-making.
9. Manage the investment process, including planning, legal documentation vetting, unlisted company selection, and pricing negotiation.
10. Monitor and track the performance of investments, ensuring adherence to performance benchmarks.
11. Plan and strategize exits and identify bolt-on acquisitions that enhance investment value.
12. Cultivate and manage stakeholder relationships, specifically with founders and angel investors/co-investors of investee companies.
13. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal governance policies.
14. Stay on top of industry trends and emerging opportunities through continuous education and professional development.
15. Foster cross-functional collaboration with other teams to facilitate seamless execution of investment strategies and initiatives.
