Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Chemistry Laboratory Assistant to support laboratory operations, assist faculty and students during experiments, and ensure the smooth functioning of the Chemistry laboratories.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare, set up, and maintain laboratory equipment, glassware, and chemical reagents for practical classes and experiments.

• Assist faculty and students during laboratory sessions, ensuring proper safety procedures are followed.

• Maintain accurate records of chemicals, instruments, and laboratory inventory.

• Ensure compliance with safety, health, and environmental regulations in the laboratory.

• Calibrate and troubleshoot basic laboratory instruments.

• Handle waste disposal according to safety standards.

• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the laboratory at all times.

• Support in conducting departmental practical examinations and project work.

Qualifications and Experience

• Educational Qualification:

o B.Sc. or d.pharm. in Chemistry (preferably with specialization in Analytical, Organic, or Inorganic Chemistry).

• Experience:

o Minimum 1–3 years of experience as a Laboratory Assistant or Technician in a school, college, or university chemistry lab.

o Freshers with strong practical knowledge may also apply.

• Knowledge of laboratory instruments and chemical handling.

• Good communication and coordination skills.

• Attention to detail and a responsible attitude.
