Chemist (STP Operations)

Job Description: You will be responsible for conducting chemical and microbiological analyses of wastewater samples, monitoring treatment processes, and ensuring compliance with environmental regulations and quality standards. Key Responsibilities: - Perform chemical and microbiological analyses of samples (raw, in-process, treated effluent). - Operate and maintain laboratory equipment. - Monitor process parameters (BOD, COD, TSS, pH, etc.). - Interpret results, recommend process adjustments, and optimize plant efficiency. - Maintain accurate records and ensure regulatory compliance. - Assist in troubleshooting process issues and provide technical support. - Manage laboratory inventory and ensure proper waste disposal. - Adhere to health, safety, and environmental regulations. Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Environmental Science, Chemical Engineering, or a related field. A Master's degree or additional certifications in water chemistry/wastewater treatment are a plus. - Minimum of 2-5 years of experience in a water/wastewater treatment plant laboratory or a similar industrial laboratory setting. - Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills. - Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records. - Ability to work independently and as part of a team. - Good communication and interpersonal skills.,
