Chemical Specialist

As a skilled chemist, you will lead the synthesis and process optimization for Anisole and downstream products. Your responsibilities will include designing synthetic schemes focusing on scalability, yield, cost, and environmental safety. You should possess a deep understanding of reaction mechanisms and transformation strategies and have hands-on experience with a variety of reactions such as oxidation, alkylation, halogenation, demethylation, and aromatic substitution. Your role will require a strong command of analytical techniques including NMR, HPLC, GC, MS, IR, and UV-Vis. You will be responsible for executing bench-scale experiments, developing SOPs, and process documentation. Identifying reaction bottlenecks and providing troubleshooting solutions will be crucial. Additionally, you will supervise, train, and mentor junior chemists and research staff. Collaboration is key in this role as you will coordinate cross-functionally with scale-up, production, EHS, and quality teams. Keeping abreast of recent literature and patents to drive innovation and ensure competitiveness is essential. Ensuring strict adherence to lab safety protocols and regulatory compliance is a top priority. The ideal candidate will have experience in tech transfer to manufacturing teams and exposure to continuous flow chemistry or green chemistry principles. Proficiency in documentation, project planning, and communication is necessary. Familiarity with ELNs, MS Office, and scientific databases such as SciFinder and Reaxys is preferred. To excel in this position, you must have a proven track record of successful scale-up from the lab to pilot/plant. A strong problem-solving mindset and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, project-driven environment are essential. Educational qualifications required for this role include an M.Sc. or Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry or a related discipline.,
