About Us

The Bodhgaya Hotel School (TBHS) is a training hotel run by Agragami India to provide underprivileged youth with skills for a career in hospitality. Students are trained in the school’s 20-room hotel and restaurant. Students pursue a one year diploma either in hotel operations or in food production. Besides being teaching sites, the hotel and restaurant generate revenue to help make the school financially self-sustaining.

Role Overview

We are seeking a Chef and InstructorFood Production to head and lead our Food Production Department. This role combines culinary leadership with teaching, ensuring excellent kitchen, restaurant and room service operations while ensuring that students become skilled in food production.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead kitchen operations, stewarding, stores, and cafeteria.
• Work with F&B and Front Office to ensure guest satisfaction.
• Manage food costs, budgets, and minimize waste.
• Train, supervise, and mentor students and kitchen staff.
• Support student recruitment, discipline, evaluation, and placement.
• Market TBHS students to hotels for internships and jobs.
• Maintain high standards of hygiene, safety, and guest service.

Requirements

• Culinary qualification with 5–7 years’ professional experience, including 2+ years in a leadership role.
• Teaching/training experience in hospitality education preferred.
• Strong leadership, mentoring, and organizational skills.
• Commitment to social impact and youth development.

Compensation & Benefits

• Monthly Salary: would be between Rs. 40,000 and ₹46,000 depending on qualifications, experience and teaching skills.
