Responsible for conducting audits, ensuring compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), and internal policies. The role involves evaluating financial statements, identifying control gaps, mitigating risks, and providing recommendations to improve accounting and reporting practices.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct financial, operational, and compliance audits in line with GAAP/IFRS standards.
Review and analyze financial statements for accuracy, transparency, and compliance.
Evaluate internal controls, risk management, and governance processes.
Identify weaknesses in financial processes and recommend corrective actions.
Assist in the implementation and transition between GAAP and IFRS reporting, where required.
Prepare audit reports with findings, risks, and recommendations.
Collaborate with finance, accounting, and compliance teams to ensure adherence to audit requirements.
Monitor regulatory updates and changes in accounting/audit standards (GAAP, IFRS, SOX, etc.).
Support statutory audits, external auditors, and regulatory inspections.
Train and guide junior auditors or accounting staff on GAAP/IFRS compliance.
