Charge entry

About the Role:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and accurate Charge Entry Specialist to join our healthcare billing team. The candidate will be responsible for entering patient charges into the billing system, ensuring accuracy in CPT, ICD, and HCPCS coding, and maintaining compliance with HIPAA regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Accurately enter patient demographic information, charges, and codes into the billing system.
• Verify and ensure correct CPT, ICD, and HCPCS codes as per medical documentation.
• Identify and correct any missing or incorrect data to avoid claim rejections or delays.
• Review insurance information to ensure eligibility and coverage details are up-to-date.
• Coordinate with medical coders, providers, and billing teams for any clarifications.
• Maintain daily productivity and accuracy targets.
• Ensure confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA and other healthcare regulations.
• Assist in resolving charge entry-related denials and discrepancies.

Requirements:

• Minimum 1–2 years of experience in healthcare charge entry or medical billing.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS coding.
• Familiarity with healthcare billing software and EHR systems.
• Strong attention to detail and high accuracy level.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to meet daily/weekly productivity targets under deadlines.

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in any discipline.
• Certification in medical billing/coding (preferred).

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹45,000.00 per month
