Job Description

In this role at Marmon Global Innovation Center, you will be responsible for utilizing your strong CFD modeling skills to solve complex engineering problems and bridge the gap between physics-based simulation and data-driven approaches. Your key responsibilities will include: - Identifying product design and development problems where CFD analysis can assist in accelerating the development of products in the device portfolio. - Developing and validating CFD methodologies, such as RANS, URANS, and LES, for resolving complex, unsteady flow phenomena. - Proactively validating and correlating results with real-world data, making necessary model improvements. - Optimizing designs through parametric and sensitivity studies. - Supporting digital twin development by integrating CFD-derived models into system-level simulations. - Interpreting analysis results with respect to lab testing procedures and converting them into practical design suggestions. - Generating high-quality engineering test reports, presenting results and conclusions to the design engineering community, and mentoring junior engineers to enhance their capabilities. The qualifications required for this position include: - Deep expertise in CFD with a focus on turbulence modeling, especially LES and DNS for thermal-fluid systems. - Experience in running and post-processing high-fidelity simulations for coils, ducts, and hydronic components using tools such as STAR-CCM+, Fluent, or OpenFOAM. - Ability to derive reduced-order or surrogate models from LES/DNS suitable for real-time or near-real-time use. - Hands-on experience in developing physics-based or hybrid digital twins, calibrated with test or field data. - Proficiency in Python for workflow automation, data pipelines, and applying ML/AI to CFD and sensor data, with comfort in working in HPC/GPU environments for large-scale simulations. - Expertise in meshing strategies for conjugate heat transfer of intricate geometries. - Experience with optimization frameworks such as Optislang, Tosca, etc. - Strong CFD meshing knowledge in Ansys Fluent meshing or Hypermesh. - Knowledge of CAD tools such as Spaceclaim/Solidworks is essential. - Prior experience or comprehensive knowledge of experimental characterization techniques is preferred, along with analysis report preparation and technical writing skills.,
