Job Description

We are hiring for a client for the position of Central Maintenance Head- AGM/DGM

Industry:

Qualification: Diploma/Degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering

Lead and manage the
Central Maintenance Department
(mechanical & electrical teams).
Ensure
safe, reliable, and efficient operation
of all plant equipment including
steel melting shop (SMS), rolling mills, continuous casting machines (CCM), furnaces, utilities, and auxiliaries
.
Drive
preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance programs
to maximize equipment uptime and minimize production losses.
Oversee maintenance planning, shutdown activities, and spare parts management.
Ensure strict compliance with
safety, statutory, and environmental regulations
.
Implement
maintenance best practices
such as TPM, RCM, energy efficiency, and digital tools (CMMS).
Control maintenance budgets, optimize costs, and drive continuous improvement in reliability.
Build, guide, and mentor a team of engineers and technicians, fostering a
culture of accountability and technical excellence
.
Collaborate with production, projects, and quality teams to support business objectives.

Qualifications & Experience

B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
from a recognized institute.
Minimum 15 years of experience
in maintenance within the
iron & steel industry (long products/special steels preferred)
.
Proven leadership in managing
plant-wide maintenance functions
.
Expertise in either
mechanical
or
electrical
maintenance with strong working knowledge of the other domain.
Strong exposure to
rolling mills, furnaces, CCM, SMS, and utility systems
.
Demonstrated track record in implementing
preventive & predictive maintenance, reliability improvement, and cost optimization
.
Excellent people management, analytical, and communication skills.
