Job Description

1. Leadership & Strategy Lead the overall functioning of the center with compassion and vision. Define goals aligned with the mission of palliative care and ensure high-quality service delivery. 2. Clinical Oversight Ensure adherence to palliative care protocols and ethical end-of-life practices. Coordinate with doctors, nurses, and caregivers for effective patient care. 3. Team & Operations Management Supervise multidisciplinary teams, manage staffing, training, and performance. Oversee daily operations, SOP implementation, resource planning, and facility upkeep. 4. Emotional & Family Support Support families and patients through counseling, grief support, and compassionate communication. Handle crisis situations with emotional intelligence and sensitivity. 5. Stakeholder & Community Engagement Liaise with healthcare partners, donors, CSR contributors, and NGOs. Promote awareness and outreach programs in the community. 6. Compliance & Reporting Ensure adherence to legal, healthcare, and accreditation (e.g., NABH) standards. Monitor performance metrics and submit regular reports to the governing body. Role & responsibilities Educational Qualifications Graduate/Postgraduate in Healthcare Administration, Nursing, Medicine, or Social Work Preferred : Diploma/Certification in Palliative Care or Hospice Management Desirable : MBA in Healthcare Management or Hospital Administration Professional Experience Minimum 710 years in healthcare or hospice settings At least 3–5 years in a leadership/administrative role Proven experience in palliative or end-of-life care will be a strong advantage Key Skills Compassionate Leadership Team and Operations Management Emotional Intelligence and Empathy Stakeholder Engagement and Fundraising Knowledge of Palliative Care Protocols Strong Communication and Crisis Management Skills Personal Attributes Highly empathetic with a patient-first mindset Calm under pressure , especially in sensitive emotional situations Strong decision-maker with a collaborative approach Ethical, professional, and mission-driven Comfortable working with diverse communities, patients, and families
