- Food Preparation and Production: Prepare and cook dishes according to recipes, menu guidelines, and specific station requirements.
- Section Management: Oversee the assigned section, ensuring consistent quality and timely service.
- Inventory and Waste Management: Manage stock levels, control waste, and ensure proper storage.
- Hygiene and Safety: Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to food safety and hygiene regulations.
- Teamwork: Collaborate with other kitchen staff and management to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
- Menu Development: Assist in creating new dishes and menu items.
- Training and Mentorship: May train and mentor junior kitchen staff.
- Equipment Maintenance: Ensure equipment is properly maintained and cleaned.
- Assisting the CDP: Support the CDP in all tasks related to section management and food production.
- Quality Control: Ensure dishes are prepared to the required standards.
- Safety and Hygiene: Adhere to food safety and hygiene procedures.
- Efficiency: Contribute to the efficiency of the kitchen operation.
- Learning and Development: Gain experience in various cooking techniques and restaurant operations.
