Job Title: CCTV Operator

Department: Security / Surveillance
Reports To: Security Supervisor / Control Room Manager

Job Purpose:

The CCTV Operator is responsible for monitoring and operating closed-circuit television (CCTV) systems to ensure the safety and security of people, property, and assets. The role involves observing, recording, and reporting any suspicious activities, incidents, or security breaches in a timely and professional manner.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor live and recorded CCTV footage across all security cameras and systems.
• Identify and respond promptly to suspicious or unusual behavior, safety hazards, or security incidents.
• Operate and maintain all CCTV and surveillance equipment in good working order.
• Record, store, and retrieve video evidence following data protection and company policies.
• Communicate effectively with on-site security personnel, law enforcement, and management when incidents occur.
• Prepare accurate incident reports and maintain detailed activity logs.
• Ensure that all monitoring activities comply with legal, ethical, and company standards, including GDPR or relevant privacy laws.
• Assist in system checks, routine maintenance, and troubleshooting of CCTV systems.
• Support investigations by providing video evidence or detailed observations when required.
• Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times.

Qualifications and Skills:

• High school diploma or equivalent (additional security or IT training preferred).
• Proven experience as a CCTV operator, security officer, or in a similar role.
• Knowledge of CCTV systems, access control, and security protocols.
• Strong attention to detail and observational skills.
• Good communication and report-writing abilities.
• Ability to work under pressure and handle emergency situations calmly.
• Familiarity with relevant legislation and privacy laws.
• Basic computer literacy (MS Office, security software, and video management systems).

Working Conditions:

• Typically based in a control room environment.
• May involve shift work, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Requires long periods of sitting and screen monitoring.

Job Types: Full-time, Fresher

Pay: ₹10,000.00 - ₹12,000.00 per month
