CATIA V5 Design Engineer - Plastics & Casting

As a CATIA V5 Design Engineer specializing in Plastics & Casting with 3 to 8 years of experience, your primary responsibility will be to design and develop plastic and casting components using CATIA V5. You will be creating 3D models, assemblies, and 2D drawings while adhering to GD&T standards. Your role will involve working on product development throughout the entire lifecycle, from concept to production stage. Collaboration with cross-functional teams will be essential to ensure design feasibility and manufacturability, while also ensuring adherence to project timelines and quality requirements. Conducting design reviews and providing technical support for tooling and manufacturing processes will also be part of your responsibilities. To excel in this role, you must possess strong expertise in CATIA V5, including Part Design, Assembly, Drafting, and Surface Modeling. Hands-on experience in designing plastic parts (injection molding) and cast components (sand, die, gravity casting, etc.) is crucial. A good understanding of DFM/DFA principles, knowledge of materials, and manufacturing processes relevant to plastics and castings are necessary. Familiarity with tolerance stack-up analysis and GD&T is also required. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills will be beneficial in addressing any design challenges that may arise. Preferred skills for this role include experience in the automotive or consumer product domain, as well as exposure to PLM tools like Enovia/Teamcenter and change management processes. To qualify for this position, you should hold a B.E. / B.Tech degree in Mechanical, Automotive, Production Engineering, or an equivalent field.,
