Cath Lab Nurse

As a Cath Lab Nurse, your role involves assisting cardiologists and interventional radiologists during catheterization procedures, such as angioplasties, stent placements, pacemaker insertions, and electrophysiology studies. Your responsibilities will include: - Monitoring patients' vital signs and hemodynamic status before, during, and after procedures. - Administering medications and contrast agents as prescribed. - Maintaining sterile technique and ensuring appropriate infection control practices. - Preparing and operating specialized equipment like EKG monitors, defibrillators, and intra-aortic balloon pumps (IABP). - Providing pre-procedure and post-procedure patient education and care instructions. - Accurately documenting nursing care, interventions, and patient responses in the electronic medical record (EMR). - Participating in emergency response situations, including Code Blue events. - Collaborating with multidisciplinary team members to ensure continuity of care. - Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of current practices and emerging technologies in cardiac care. Qualifications: Education: - Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN required) - BSN preferred Licensure/Certification: - Current and unrestricted RN license [in State] - Basic Life Support (BLS) certification - Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification - CCRN or RCIS certification preferred (not mandatory but desirable) Experience: - Minimum of 1-2 years of critical care or emergency nursing experience - Previous experience in a Cath Lab or interventional radiology setting preferred Please note that this job is full-time and permanent with benefits including Provident Fund. The work schedule involves rotational shifts, and the work location is in person.
