Job Description

Key Responsibilities: Inspect raw castings for defects such as porosity, shrinkage, incomplete fill, cracks, or air bubbles. Perform dimensional and visual checks to ensure cast components match master designs. Approve or reject casted pieces based on quality standards. Coordinate with casting, assembly, and polishing teams for corrective actions. Document inspection findings and maintain QC logs. Ensure casting quality meets internal and export standards . Recommend improvements in casting techniques to reduce rework and wastage. Provide feedback to improve mould making, wax tree assembly, and casting quality. Maintain tools and inspection equipment in good condition. Adhere to companys quality management and safety protocols. Requirements: 10–15 years of experience in casting QC in the gems & jewellery industry. Strong knowledge of gold, silver, or platinum casting processes. Familiarity with common casting defects and root cause analysis. Hands-on experience with magnification tools, calipers, and microscopes . Ability to read and interpret CAD/CAM outputs and technical drawings. Good communication skills and team coordination. Preferred Qualifications: Previous experience with export jewellery or branded jewellery manufacturers . Training in quality management systems (ISO or equivalent) is a plus. Basic knowledge of CAD software or casting simulation is an advantage.
