Cashier/Sales Assistant

The cashier is responsible for providing excellent customer service by accurately and efficiently processing sales transactions, handling cash, credit, and debit payments, and maintaining a clean and organized checkout area. The cashier also assists with customer inquiries and supports the overall operations of the store.

Key Responsibilities:

• Greet customers in a friendly and professional manner
• Operate cash registers and point-of-sale (POS) systems
• Accurately process cash, credit, and debit card transactions
• Issue receipts, refunds, and exchanges as needed
• Handle customer inquiries and resolve complaints politely and efficiently
• Maintain a clean and organized checkout area
• Count cash drawers at the beginning and end of shifts to ensure accuracy
• Follow store policies and procedures, including those related to security and safety
• Assist in restocking shelves, tidying displays, and general store upkeep when needed
• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth store operations

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
• Previous cashier or retail experience is a plus
• Basic math and computer skills
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, Fresher

Pay: ₹10,000.00 - ₹15,000.00 per month
