Job Title

Cashier

Job Summary

The Cashier is responsible for handling customer transactions, processing payments, issuing receipts, and maintaining accurate cash records. The role requires friendly customer service, attention to detail, and adherence to store policies.

Key Responsibilities

Accept payments by cash, credit/debit card, mobile wallet, or other methods
Issue receipts, refunds, or change due
Balance and reconcile cash drawer at the start and end of shift
Handle returns, exchanges, and resolve customer payment issues.
Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the checkout area.
Report discrepancies, errors, or suspicious transactions to management
Assist with opening or closing procedures (e.g. daily cash summaries)
Collaborate with other staff (e.g. sales associates, stock) for efficient operations
Follow all cash handling, safety, and security procedures.

Qualifications & Skills

High school diploma or equivalent (or as per region)
Previous cashier or customer service experience (preferred)
Basic math skills and comfort handling money.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to work under pressure, manage queues, and multitask
Reliability, honesty, and trustworthiness
Flexibility to work varying shifts, weekends, holidays

Job Type: Permanent

Pay: ₹12,000.00 - ₹15,000.00 per month

Work Location: In person

Expected Start Date: 31/10/2025
