As a Cashier at our company, you will play a crucial role in providing excellent customer service and ensuring smooth transactions at the checkout. Your responsibilities will include: - Greeting customers warmly and offering assistance when needed. - Processing transactions accurately and efficiently using a cash register or point-of-sale (POS) system. - Handling cash, credit, and debit card transactions, and providing correct change to customers. - Maintaining accurate records of sales and refunds. - Assisting customers with product inquiries and directing them to appropriate departments or staff. - Ensuring the checkout area is clean, organized, and fully stocked. - Monitoring inventory levels at the cash register and reporting low stock to management. - Handling customer complaints and issues with professionalism, escalating to the supervisor when necessary. - Following company policies and procedures regarding cash handling, security, and safety. - Maintaining a positive and professional demeanor at all times. Qualifications required for this role include: - High school diploma or equivalent. - Previous cashier or retail experience is preferred but not required. - Strong communication and interpersonal skills. - Basic math skills and ability to handle money accurately. - Ability to stand for extended periods of time and work in a fast-paced environment. - Attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy in transactions. - Friendly and approachable attitude with a focus on customer satisfaction.
