Job Title: General Manager – Textile Retail Showroom Location: [Coimbatore] Department: Operations / Retail Management Reports To: Managing Director / Owner Industry: Textile / Fashion Retail Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent Experience Required: 8–12 Years in Retail Management (preferably textile/fashion sector) Job Summary: The General Manager will be responsible for the overall performance and profitability of the textile retail showroom. This includes overseeing store operations, sales performance, staff management, customer satisfaction, visual merchandising, inventory control, and strategic planning to drive growth and achieve business objectives. Key Responsibilities: 1. Store Operations Management Oversee daily operations of the retail showroom to ensure smooth functioning. Maintain high standards in cleanliness, organization, and customer service. Ensure adherence to company policies, procedures, and compliance requirements. 2. Sales & Profitability Develop and implement strategies to meet and exceed sales targets. Analyze sales data and market trends to improve performance. Drive promotional activities and monitor their effectiveness. 3. Team Leadership & Staff Management Recruit, train, supervise, and evaluate staff including department managers, sales executives, and support teams. Conduct regular team meetings, assign duties, and monitor performance. Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and customer service excellence. 4. Customer Relationship Management Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent service. Address and resolve customer complaints promptly and professionally. Implement loyalty programs and manage key client relationships. 5. Inventory & Stock Control Monitor stock levels and coordinate with procurement for timely replenishment. Minimize stock loss through accurate tracking and effective security measures. Conduct regular audits and ensure optimal stock rotation. 6. Visual Merchandising & Branding Ensure visual standards are consistently maintained in line with brand guidelines. Coordinate seasonal changes, product launches, and in-store promotions. 7. Financial & Administrative Oversight Prepare and manage budgets, forecasts, and expense reports. Maintain records of sales, stock, and staff attendance. Oversee billing, vendor coordination, and general administrative duties.
