Job Title : Cashier Job Summary : We are looking for a friendly and reliable cashier to join our team. The cashier will be responsible for handling customer transactions, ensuring a smooth and pleasant checkout experience, and maintaining accurate records of sales. The ideal candidate should have excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and a positive attitude. Key Responsibilities : Greet customers warmly and provide assistance as needed. Process transactions accurately and efficiently using a cash register or point-of-sale (POS) system. Handle cash, credit, and debit card transactions, and provide correct change to customers. Maintain accurate records of sales and refunds. Assist customers with product inquiries and direct them to appropriate departments or staff. Ensure the checkout area is clean, organized, and fully stocked. Monitor inventory levels at the cash register and report low stock to management. Handle customer complaints and issues with professionalism and escalate to the supervisor when necessary. Follow company policies and procedures regarding cash handling, security, and safety. Maintain a positive and professional demeanor at all times. Skills & Qualifications : High school diploma or equivalent. Previous cashier or retail experience is preferred but not required. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Basic math skills and ability to handle money accurately. Ability to stand for extended periods of time and work in a fast-paced environment. Attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy in transactions. Friendly and approachable attitude with a focus on customer satisfaction. Physical Requirements : Must be able to stand for long periods. Work Environment : Retail setting, fast-paced. Interaction with customers and team members.
