You will be working at Waste Management (WM), a Fortune 250 company, which is the leading provider of comprehensive waste and environmental services in North America. WM operates through a network of collection operations, transfer stations, landfills, recycling facilities, and waste-based energy production projects. As an individual in this role, you will be responsible for auditing and reconciling vendor invoices under supervision. Your main duties will include reconciling and auditing exception-based invoices with the highest level of accuracy and speed, keeping vendor accounts updated and accurate, resolving quality control issues in problem queues, meeting or exceeding individual productivity requirements, resolving problem invoices with the highest degree of urgency, following standard procedures, introducing new procedures into daily routines, and maintaining professional and productive relations and communications with internal customers. To qualify for this role, you should have a degree in B.Com, M.Com, or an equivalent accredited degree. In lieu of a degree, a High School Diploma may be accepted. Additionally, you should possess the ability to read and interpret documents such as departmental reporting, email, and vendor correspondence; calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, proportions, and percentages; apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form; and deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. Proficiency in accounting software, database software, M.S. Outlook, M.S. Word, MS Excel, and M.S. PowerPoint is required, along with problem-solving skills, team-handling ability, and good verbal and written communication skills. The work environment for this role includes using motor coordination with finger dexterity (such as keyboarding, machine operation, etc.) part of the workday, exerting physical effort in handling objects less than 30 pounds occasionally, being exposed to physical occupational risks (such as cuts, burns, exposure to toxic chemicals, etc.) rarely, being exposed to a physical environment involving dirt, odors, noise, weather extremes, or similar elements rarely, and working in an office setting under fast-paced conditions to meet vendor expectations promptly.,
