Job Summary:We are seeking a talented and creative Handmade Carpet Designer to join our design team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of traditional and contemporary carpet design, color theory, materials, and weaving techniques. You will be responsible for conceptualizing and creating unique designs that align with market trends and client needs, particularly in the handmade/rug weaving sector. Key Responsibilities:Develop original carpet and rug designs suitable for hand-knotting, hand-tufting, or flat-weave techniques. Work closely with weavers, dyers, and production teams to ensure design feasibility and quality. Create design artworks using CAD software or hand-sketching techniques. Select color palettes, yarns, and materials for each design. Modify or customize designs based on customer feedback or market trends. Stay updated on trends in interior design, fashion, and textile arts. Maintain a library of designs, textures, motifs, and colorways. Visit production units or artisans to monitor the implementation of design concepts. Collaborate with the marketing and sales teams to create collections for exhibitions or client presentations.
