Carpenter

1. Construction & Installation

• Measure, cut, shape, and assemble wood, plywood, and other materials according to design specifications.
• Construct, install, and repair doors, windows, frames, staircases, furniture, cabinets, and wooden fixtures.
• Install flooring, roofing, partitions, and wooden structures on construction sites or in workshops.
• Use manual and power tools such as saws, drills, planers, and sanders for precision work.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine project requirements.

2. Maintenance & Repair

• Inspect wooden structures and fixtures for damage, wear, or defects.
• Repair or replace damaged woodwork and fittings.
• Refinish wooden surfaces by sanding, varnishing, or painting.
• Perform preventive maintenance on existing furniture and fittings.

3. Material Preparation & Planning

• Select appropriate types of wood and materials based on project needs.
• Estimate materials, dimensions, and labor requirements for assigned tasks.
• Ensure proper measurement and alignment during installation for a perfect finish.

4. Safety & Compliance

• Follow safety standards and building codes while working on site.
• Use personal protective equipment (PPE) such as gloves, masks, and goggles.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace to prevent hazards.

5. Coordination & Teamwork

• Work closely with builders, electricians, plumbers, and site supervisors.
• Assist in planning and designing custom woodwork as per client specifications.
• Supervise and train junior carpenters or apprentices, if applicable.

6. Tools & Equipment

• Operate and maintain tools such as chisels, hammers, screwdrivers, drills, saws, and measuring tapes.
• Ensure tools are well-maintained and in safe working condition.

7. Additional Responsibilities (if applicable)

• Fabricate and install modular furniture or wooden interiors.
• Work with metal or plastic fittings alongside wood for modern designs.
• Perform site measurements and assist with on-site construction tasks.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month

Work Location: In person
