Cardiologist

This role is for one of the Weekday's clients

Salary range: Rs 4800000 - Rs 8400000 (ie INR 48-84 LPA)

Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform thorough clinical evaluations of patients with suspected or known cardiac conditions.
• Interpret diagnostic results from ECG, echocardiograms, stress tests, cardiac catheterizations, CT, and MRI scans.
• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans in line with the latest cardiology guidelines.
• Monitor patients' progress and modify treatment strategies as necessary.
• Provide emergency cardiac care and participate in on-call duties as required.
• Collaborate with internal medicine, cardiac surgery, radiology, and other departments for holistic patient management.
• Advise patients on lifestyle changes and preventive measures to improve cardiovascular health.
• Maintain detailed records of patient cases, treatment plans, and progress.
• Mentor junior medical staff and assist in continuous clinical education.
• Participate in departmental audits, quality initiatives, and research activities to ensure clinical excellence.
  

Key Skills and Attributes:

• Proven experience as a practicing Cardiologist (2 to 10 years preferred).
• Deep understanding of cardiological procedures, treatments, and diagnostics.
• Skilled in managing acute and chronic cardiovascular diseases, including coronary artery disease, arrhythmias, heart failure, and hypertension.
• Competent in performing interventional procedures (for Senior roles).
• Excellent diagnostic and decision-making skills.
• Ability to work effectively in high-pressure and emergency scenarios.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact with patients and multidisciplinary teams.
• Empathetic, ethical, and dedicated to patient well-being.
  

Eligibility Criteria:

• Education: DM (Doctorate of Medicine) in Cardiology from a recognized institution.
• Experience:
• Junior Cardiologist: Minimum 2 years of clinical cardiology experience.
• Senior Cardiologist: Minimum 7 years of hands-on experience, including advanced diagnostics and interventional cardiology
