Car Technician

As an Automobile Technician, your primary responsibility will be to ensure that equipment is readily available for use by performing inspections and testing on vehicles, as well as carrying out preventive maintenance tasks such as engine tune-ups, oil changes, and tire rotations. You will play a crucial role in maintaining the functional condition of vehicles by listening to operator complaints, conducting thorough inspections, and promptly repairing any mechanical or electrical system malfunctions. Additionally, you will be tasked with verifying vehicle serviceability through test drives, adjusting controls, and updating systems to meet state vehicle requirements and safety standards. In this role, it will be essential for you to keep a keen eye on vehicle appearance by regularly cleaning, washing, and painting vehicles to maintain a professional and presentable look. You will also be responsible for compiling detailed vehicle records by accurately recording all service and repairs conducted. It will be crucial to keep shop equipment in optimal working condition by strictly adhering to operating instructions, troubleshooting breakdowns, and performing preventive maintenance tasks when necessary. To ensure cost-effectiveness, you will be required to track warranties, evaluate service and parts options, manage inventory stock, place orders, and verify receipts to keep supplies readily available. Additionally, staying updated on industry trends and advancements by participating in educational opportunities and reading technical publications will be essential to enhance your job knowledge and skills.
