Job Description

As a salesperson, your role involves selling new and used vehicles by understanding customer needs, providing product information, facilitating test drives, negotiating prices, and closing sales deals. You will be responsible for building customer relationships, maintaining knowledge of vehicle inventory and promotions, coordinating with finance and service departments, and meeting sales targets. Key skills required for this role include excellent communication, interpersonal skills, and product knowledge, with a minimum educational background of at least a high school diploma. Key Responsibilities: - Customer Interaction: Greet and assist customers, understand their needs, preferences, and budget to recommend suitable vehicles. - Vehicle Demonstration: Provide detailed information on features, models, and upgrades; arrange and conduct test drives. - Sales Process: Guide customers through the entire sales process, from initial contact to closing the deal, including paperwork and financing options. - Relationship Building: Build and maintain long-term relationships with customers to foster loyalty and referrals. - Inventory & Promotion Management: Maintain up-to-date knowledge of current vehicle inventory, popular models, and dealership promotions. - Lead Generation: Prospect for new customers through various channels, such as phone, email, and social media. - Sales Targets: Work towards and meet or exceed monthly or quarterly sales targets. - Coordination: Work collaboratively with finance and service departments to complete sales transactions. Qualifications: - Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with customers and build rapport. - Product Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of the cars and trucks being sold, including features, specifications, and financing options. - Sales Skills: Proven ability to present and sell vehicles, negotiate prices, and close deals. - Interpersonal Skills: The ability to listen, understand customer needs, and establish trust and rapport. - Educational Background: A high school diploma or GED is typically required, though an associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field can be beneficial.
