Capacity Planning Engineer

We are seeking a Capacity Planning Engineer with over 7 years of experience to join a client team in Pune. As a Capacity Planning Engineer, you will play a vital role in optimizing system performance in cloud-based environments through strategic planning and testing. Your responsibilities will include designing and implementing capacity planning strategies in AWS, with a focus on EKS, EC2, DynamoDB, Lambda, and other services. You will be conducting continuous load testing to identify performance bottlenecks, analyzing system metrics, and forecasting future capacity needs. Collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure business-aligned application performance is essential, along with developing automated testing frameworks to simulate real-world traffic. Key Skills required for this role include a strong hands-on experience in the AWS ecosystem, familiarity with Dynatrace or similar monitoring tools, proficiency in scripting (Python, Bash) for automation, knowledge of load testing tools such as JMeter or Gatling, excellent analytical and communication skills, and a solid understanding of container orchestration and microservices. The ideal candidate should hold a Bachelors/Masters degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, along with a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience.
