Job Description

Role Summary:

Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC) Campaign Specialist

The ideal candidate brings hands-on experience in SFMC configuration, journey building, data segmentation, and campaign optimization, with strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities:

Campaign Planning and Requirements Gathering

  • Work with project managers and marketing stakeholders to understand campaign briefs and objectives.
  • Identify risks or ambiguities and propose clarifications before campaign build.
  • Provide guidance on leveraging SFMC tools to meet campaign goals efficiently.
  • Support segmentation planning, journey mapping, and content strategy.

SFMC Configuration and Development

  • Configure SFMC components including data extensions, email templates, automations, and CloudPages.
  • Build and maintain customer master data extensions to support personalization.
  • Create and manage automated journeys, including welcome and nurture campaigns.
  • Develop dynamic content and data queries using AMPscript and SQL.

Campaign Execution and Management

  • Set up and deploy campaigns across multiple channels (email, SMS, social, direct mail).
  • Monitor campaign performance and track key metrics such as open rates, CTRs, and conversions.
  • Conduct A/B testing and implement insights to enhance performance and engagement.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to targeting, automation, or delivery.

Work Orchestration and Data Hygiene

  • Record updates and track all campaign activities in ticket/request management tools.
  • Ensure complete documentation of steps taken, timestamps, and campaign data.
  • Follow all Desktop Procedures (DTPs), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and checklists.
  • Submit accurate reports and updates for internal tracking and client reporting.

Must-Have Skills:

  • Deep expertise in Salesforce Marketing Cloud tools such as Email Studio, Automation Studio, Journey Builder, Mobile Studio, and CloudPages.
  • Strong hands-on experience with AMPscript and SQL for dynamic personalization and segmentation.
  • Solid understanding of campaign setup, including configuration of templates, journeys, and automations.
  • Knowledge of email marketing best practices, including deliverability, personalization, and testing.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills related to SFMC and campaign execution.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple campaigns simultaneously.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with API integrations between SFMC and external platforms (e.g., CRM, CDPs).
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
  • Salesforce Marketing Cloud certifications (e.g., Email Specialist, Marketing Cloud Consultant).
  • Working knowledge of marketing compliance frameworks (GDPR, CAN-SPAM).
