CAM Programmer

As a CNC Programmer using Cimatron for 3-axis machining centers, your role involves generating efficient and accurate toolpaths for various components. You will program complex parts such as mold inserts, cores, electrodes, and cavities. Working closely with design engineers, CNC machinists, and toolmakers is crucial to ensure manufacturability and precision. Your responsibilities will include: - Optimizing cutting strategies to reduce machining time and enhance tool life. - Reviewing 3D CAD models and 2D drawings to ensure manufacturability and accuracy. - Selecting appropriate tooling, cutting parameters, and machining strategies. - Simulating toolpaths to identify potential collisions or errors before production. - Maintaining programming documentation and updating programs as needed. - Providing support in troubleshooting machining issues on the shop floor. Qualifications required for this position include proficiency in CNC programming using Cimatron, experience in 3-axis machining, and a strong understanding of manufacturing processes. Additionally, familiarity with tooling selection, cutting parameters, and simulation software will be beneficial.
