CAE MBD Engineer

About the Role:

As a member of the CAE MBD engineering team, the role of CAE Engineer will be primarily to build multibody models of 2W, 3W vehicles, simulate Vehicle Dynamics and predict interface loads for chassis components. You will also be responsible for the postprocessing of results and report preparation. You will be responsible for your design area from modeling to optimization and have the ability to provide design suggestions or enablers for the product during the development process.

Role Description:

• 3 to 4 years of hands on experience in multibody dynamics modeling and simulation
• Have good knowledge in building subsystems and Full Vehicle model of 2W, 3W and 4W vehicles in Motionview
• Have good knowledge in building models of templates, subsystems and Assemblies of 3W and 4W vehicles in Adams/car
• Have good knowledge in generating flexbodies in MotionView, Adams
• Component, full vehicle level Static and Dynamic durability Loads generation
• Exposure to simulating vRLDA will be an added advantage
• Work closely with structural engineers and designers to optimize vehicle structures and components for weight efficiency, structural integrity, and dynamic performance
• Have good understanding of Tire models (like Fiala, PAC2002, MF/Tyre,MF/SWIFT) for Handling, Ride Comfort and Loads Prediction assessments
• Strong fundamental knowledge of Engineering Mechanics and Vehicle Dynamics is essential. Knowledge in Mechanical Vibrations will be an added advantage
• Exposure in CAE to test correlation, vehicle target settings and refinements as per latest automotive trends
• Be able to correlate analytical predictions with physical test performance
• Develop and/or improve CAE methodology for increased efficiency
• Able to work effectively with design teams to develop solutions within defined deadlines and time constraints
• Have strong problem solving skills and willingness to persevere when encountered with different problems.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical/Automobile Engineering or related fields
• 2+ years of experience in Structural and Vehicle Dynamics preferably in OEM
• Have strong knowledge in MBD tools preferably MotionView, MotionSolve,Adams/View, Adams/Car and Adams/Solver
• Knowledge of FEA, durability assessments in packages such as ANSA/Optistruct/NASTRAN/Abaqus/DesignLife is desirable
• Strong oral, written communication skills and presentation skills
• Ability to work in a team environment under tight delivery timelines
• Programming skills in languages such as Python, HTML, MATLAB is desirable
