CAD Designer II

As a CAD Designer II at Nikkiso Clean Energy & Industrial Gases, your role involves preparing and reviewing 3D Modelling, 2D Fabrication Drawings, and Bill of Materials (BOM) using software tools. You will handle query resolution, troubleshooting, and evaluate technical deviations. **Key Responsibilities:** - Create 3D models, assemblies, and drafts using 3D software such as Autodesk Inventor. - Prepare and revise 3D models, drawings, and store them in the Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) tool. - Submit drawings to relevant departments, ensuring error-free and accurate submissions. - Check drawings and BOM of junior designers before submission. - Perform structural (frame) modeling and drafting. - Prepare Skid/Equipment foundation plans based on vendor input and customer plot plans. - Model piping lines, equipment, valves, instruments, and cable trays. - Interpret pipe and structural stress analysis for support and frame design. - Create bills of material in the ERP system and upload standard parts in PLM software. - Coordinate with Manufacturing, Quality, and Project teams for query resolution. - Participate in internal project update meetings and communicate with customers when necessary. - Adhere to department workflows for Timesheet, task planning updates, and Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) policies. - Work with minimum supervision, attention to detail, and self-improvement. **Qualifications Required:** - Mechanical Engineering Diploma with 5-8 years of experience or B.E. with 4-7 years of relevant experience. - Proficiency in piping and structural modeling using Autodesk Inventor/Solid Works. - Exposure to codes and standards such as ASME B31.3, ANSI, ASCE, API, NEMA. - Knowledge of designing Skid based Package solutions is preferred. - Ability to ensure product designs meet safety and structural standards. - Blend technique and aesthetics to create final designs. In this role, you will not have direct supervisory responsibilities but will serve as a coach and mentor for other positions in the department.
