Role Overview: As a CAD Designer II at Nikkiso Clean Energy & Industrial Gases, you will be responsible for preparing and reviewing 3D modeling, 2D fabrication drawings, and Bill of Materials (BOM) using relevant software. Your role will involve handling query resolutions, troubleshooting, and evaluating technical deviations. You will play a crucial part in ensuring error-free and accurate drawings for manufacturing and project teams. Key Responsibilities: - Create 3D models, assemblies, and drafts in 3D software such as Autodesk Inventor. - Prepare and revise 3D models, drawings, and store them in the Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) tool. - Submit drawings to relevant departments through transmittal and upload them on the PLM tool. - Check drawings and BOM of junior designers before submission, ensuring accuracy. - Model and draft structural (frame) designs and Skid/Equipment foundation plans. - Create piping lines, equipment, valves, instruments, and cable tray models and drafts. - Interpret pipe and structural stress analysis for support and frame design. - Generate bills of material in the ERP system and upload standard parts and drawings in PLM software. - Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, and project teams to resolve queries. - Participate in internal project update meetings and communicate with customers when necessary. - Follow department workflow for timesheet, task planning updates, and EHS policy compliance. - Demonstrate proficiency in Autodesk AutoCAD, Autodesk Inventor/Solidworks, and MS Office tools. - Review and approve vendor GA drawings and customer drawings. - Act as a coach and mentor for other positions in the department. Qualifications Required: - Mechanical engineering Diploma with 5-8 years of experience or B.E. with 4-7 years of experience in relevant field. - Exposure to codes and standards such as ASME B31.3, ANSI, ASCE, API, NEMA. - Proficiency in piping and structure modeling using 3D software like Inventor/SolidWorks. - Knowledge of designing Skid based Package solutions will be preferred. - Ability to ensure product designs meet required safety and structural standards. - Blend technique and aesthetics to create final designs.
