CAD Automation Engineer

Key Responsibilities

CAD Customization & Tool Development

• Develop plugins, automation scripts, and custom commands using

  C#, .NET, AutoCAD API, Plant 3D API, and Revit API

  .
• Implement automation for drafting tasks such as annotation, dimensioning, support extraction, layout generation, and BOM creation.
• Build UI panels and workflow components to improve user efficiency.

Engineering Workflow Automation

• Automate metadata and geometry extraction from DWG, NWC, and RVT models.
• Implement rule-based logic for:
• Piping GA annotation automation
• Cable tray and support extraction
• Delta comparison between Navis/Plant 3D models
• Automated report generation and data formatting
• Integrate CAD tools with Excel, JSON, databases, and web APIs.

Testing, Optimization & Documentation

• Validate tool outputs using real project models.
• Ensure high performance and accuracy through optimization and best coding practices.
• Prepare user guides, test cases, and release documentation.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Coordinate with Piping, Electrical, Instrumentation, and BIM teams to capture requirements.
• Provide technical support for deployed tools.
• Participate in internal reviews, planning meetings, and demos.

Required Technical Skills

• Hands-on experience with

  AutoCAD, Plant 3D, and Revit customization
