Buyer/Material Planner

As a Material Planner in our organization, you will be responsible for procuring materials in compliance with plant and corporate regulations, particularly focusing on quality assurance and supply chain management. Your role will involve effective communication and coordination with product line supervisors and leaders to ensure schedule adherence and facilitate recovery measures when necessary. You will directly engage with suppliers to communicate material usage based on forecasted requirements and gather relevant data. Your key responsibilities will include processing purchase requisitions, monitoring orders, and ensuring timely delivery of goods from suppliers. This will involve managing the creation, release, and follow-up of purchase orders based on demand and negotiated terms with suppliers. You will also be responsible for handling order confirmations from suppliers and addressing any discrepancies in prices, quantities, or delivery dates. In this role, you will play a crucial part in evaluating supplier performance metrics such as On-Time Delivery and company-specific indicators like Inventory Turns. Maintaining optimal inventory levels in alignment with defined objectives will be essential. Additionally, you will be responsible for updating purchasing data in the ERP system, managing supplier invoices, and maintaining a database of qualified suppliers. As a qualified candidate, you should possess 3-5 years of experience in Supply Chain Management with a focus on Material Planning. Proficiency in ERP systems is crucial for this role. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively within a team are essential qualities we are looking for.
