Buyer - Software Sourcing

As a Software Sourcing Specialist, your role will involve defining the sourcing landscape and strategy for system-wise software sourcing for software-defined vehicles. You will provide innovative and proactive inputs to the product development team during the product concept phase to enable software development. Additionally, you will be responsible for benchmarking and providing target costs for software elements and related design, development, and testing activities. Your key responsibilities will include: - Validating the engineering efforts for software development quoted by prospective suppliers at the technical sign-off stage - Developing standard quotation templates and defining a matrix of system-wise, platform-wise, and geography-wise man-hour costs of software development efforts - Defining serviceable agreements with suppliers - Achieving cost targets defined at the business case level and providing a plan for a year-on-year reduction strategy - Maintaining and fostering supplier relationships - Having knowledge of Cloud-based infrastructure, architecture, platform, and technologies related to software services Qualifications required for this role include: - B.Tech in IT, Computer Science, or ECE with knowledge of costing - MBA preferred - 3-5 years of experience in automotive sourcing or sales In addition to the above responsibilities and qualifications, it is essential to have a strong understanding of the automotive industry and the software development process to excel in this role.,
